I bought a wow saddle yesterday on ebay .I was messaged by seller that it had a no. 2 headplate in but could be sent with which ever I needed as she was a fitter.
I messaged her to say I had bought it and was looking forward to receiving it, she has messaged back that it is now being sent with a no.1 headplate as her friend has used the no 2 and they don't have anymore.
I messaged back immediately that I would rather have a no. 3 in it anyway as the one we tried that fitted ok ,had a no.3 in.
She emailled me that if the fitter won't exchange it I can send it back and she will change it.
I have messaged back that I would like it sent with a no 2 [as I was told ]or a no 3.
What do you think? Am I being unreasonable? He wears a wide jumping saddle
 
I think you are being perfectly reasonable and only requesting what she said she could do anyway

I think you should get what you want as she told you it was no problem before you bought it. Unless the item description was quite different and said it comes with a No 1

No, you're not being unreasonable. If she's a WOW fitter she can get the headplate for you. She has to sell you the goods as advertised, or you can open a dispute.
 
Thanks ,she hasn't replied since.I have it in my messages that she said it was fitted with a no 2 but it could be supplied with any width headplate that was needed. I thought I would see how it fitted before going to the expense of getting a fitter, if it is in any way a problem I will get it fitted because I do realise how important it is but as she had said it had a no 2 I thought it would be ok,I do not want it with a no 1 fitted!
 
I have just had a message to say it hasn't been collected yet by parcelforce and she has put a no 3 plate in the box and left the no 1 in.Well that is VERY good I think and I will recommend her to everyone as I know she does have other saddles on including another wow.I won't put her name on here without her permission but I think she has been more than fair
