Might be getting some money if my mare works out in her loan home and they buy her from me...fingers crossed there!!
I am due to be going to uni in sept so should really be saving it, but I want to celebrate and spoil myself as I truely loved my mare and have owned her for 15 years....
would you spend it on a short trip to vancouver where I have always wanted to go or buy an old 4x4 to pull your trailer around so you can go to more shows and fun rides..?
Just wondering what people would do - but also what you would love to do if you had loads of money :0)

with a smallish windfall I would upgrade my 4x4 and trailer, or buy a 7.5 ton lorry.

With a massive windfall I would be giving up work, buying my own yard and breeding highland ponies (and crosses)

Small (well medium) windfall - Pay of all my debt!!!

If I had a big windfall - ride, ride and ride and never sit in a boring office again!!

If i was you i would buy a 4x4. Holidays are lovely and all that but that 4x4 will serve you for a lot longer.

If i had a bit of cash my way id buy a small 3 1/2 tonne horsebox so i could actually stop relying on everyone else to take me places!
If i came into lots of cash i would quit work, move house and by another horse to compete!

Dreams dreams!!

Small amount, I would upgrade the lorry.......or upgrade the 4x4.
Large amount - hopefully would buy a house with land and if enough money give up work too........

Would love to set up a riding/trekking centre obviously I don't have the experience to teach etc so would hire people that could and also have more horse experience than me.
Alongside the business I would like to get into horse training for national hunt racing. Just a few horses, my own so I would be in effect a permit trainer.
I would also like to rescue horses as well and have horses living in retirement in the paddocks and stables alongside the riding school horses. If any rescues were suitable for riding then they would be used for the centre too.
I would find it very hard to sell horses on though so horses would remain with me until they died of old age, illness or were pts etc.
Therefore I would need both plenty of money and land lol.
But I think it is very fair to say that if I had a huge windfall my future would def involve a horse business alongside a rescue/retirement home for horses.
Cazx

Small windful I would send new horse away for a month and probably upgrade my 4x4 and trailer.
Larger windful I would go part time at work (yes I do live my job) and probably buy a small property with lots of land and maybe have a couple more horses and a livery or two to keep things ticking over.

I just sold one of my horses and he paid for a swimming pool.

Am in the process of selling another (being paid for in installments) and he is paying for new double glazed windows, re-stuccoing and repainting the outside of our house and hopefully a small verandah.

Lots of money to me would be a few hundred grand and I'd get my house the way I want it and have my garden landscaped, our very long driveway re-surfaced (although we only had it done 2 years ago) and loads of little bits and pieces that would please me a lot.

Loads of money (ie. a million or 2 would be nice) - I wouldnt ever work, just play with the horses all day long and do whatever I wanted! Id probably buy a big yard with all the gadgets (horse solarium etc.).

A bit of money - Dunno. Would probably just chuck it in the bank and live off it as needed!

LOL!! You've just described MY life MM.

I suppose there is a huge difference between starting out, and topping up, where the value of money is concerned.

sounds about right but would probably just put it away for a rainy day.

although, it would be nice to have the 4 year old schooled and to be able to afford regular lessons

if it was a life changing amount then i really don't know.... pay off the debts and buy something more suitable perhaps
