Ok, you have a 'feeling' horse isnt right on her feet.. cant put your finger on it but have been feeling this way for a few weeks. She seems unhappy when being tacked up.

Back/Teeth/saddle done 3 months ago.

Horse Not lame (vet checked)
Temperature spot on
Breathing spot on
Feet not warm
BUT Pulses are pounding and have remained around the 50 beats per minute for last few weeks every time horse is checked. Have never gone above 60 beats- although have been close after exercise.

Not sure if this is 'normal' for said horse during summer as horse is new and only been in your care for a few months.

Horse is muzzled at night, in at day with very low grade hay.. sometimes is out at day also but still muzzled.

Exercised 5 days a week, 20 mins schooling Plus 1-2 hours hacking and an hour schooling per weekend (lesson)

get a decent osteo/physio to look at her back....oscar was hollowing badly until we got his back free'd up and he kept trying to bite me when I did his girth up!

My horse had a similar problem, turned out it was his back due to an altered gait due to his bone spavin.

Agree with parkranger, get the opinion from a physio, you will need a vet referral for this, but I have never found this to be a problem.

alot can happen in 3 months.... they could have tweaked it in the field, in the stable.... etc etc. 3 months is a long time. I normally go 6 weekly eith my back lady UNLESS i have any problems before hand, in which case she comes out sooner.

I think I need to look into this .My boy is pulling up his back legs and stretching when I put his saddle on and he has had spavins done.I use mc timoni will she be as good as physio .Will I be able to put it on insurance if vet recommends it as referral.

Yes a physio uses exercises and massage
A chiropractor uses manipulation.

I think physio and things are included on insurance, check your policy.

I hope everything goes well x
