Hi all,

just a bit of an opinion ask really, I have a made to measure saddle company saddle for my mare, fits her perfectly, came with her when I bought her, checked periodically and all fine.

However, although it fits her really well, I'm not very keen on it, it tends to make me sit a bit weird (having lessons and instructor even pointed out that the saddle wasn't helping my position)

I've always fancied a nice leather saddle, and the local saddlery shop has a Kent and Masters one for sale, second hand, at £500. It seems in really good condition and I have borrowed it to try this weekend.

I have sat it on her this morning and it fits well to my eye, going to get a professional to check it as well, but was going to ride her in it this afternoon to see if I like it.

Just wondering, if it fits, do you think it's a good buy or do you think that as her usual saddle fits her really well, should I even bother?? Also, i haven't had a K+M before, what are people's opinions of them?

Thanks!

If it fits her and you then go for it. I think my local saddlery do the km gp saddles for 650 ish so not sure I would pay 500 for a second hand one

Thanks for that, I guess I could make an offer and see if they would accept a bit less, it does seem in very good nick tho, looks hardly used.:)
