What would you do with photographs of your horse(s)?

I am curious what you (would) do with all the pictures you have of your horse(s) once you sell them or they go back to their owner if they are on loan?
I am wondering as when I bought my lad almost 2 years ago the people selling him only had his 3 advert pictures, I then spoke to a previous owner and she too only had 1-2 of him. I just couldn't get my head around how two teenagers could only amount to 5 pictures between them.
A friend of mine also said that once the horse is gone she doesn't keep the pictures.

What would/have you done with your pictures? Kept all of them, just a few of them, none of them?

Personally I have all the pictures of all the horses I have ever had, granted I don't have many of all of them as I didn't always have a camera but I didn't get rid of the pictures when I no longer had the horse. I am very sentimental so I think that is why I couldn't grasp the concept of past owners not keeping any pictures.
 
I keep all my pic of all my horses/ponies and dogs. Almost have 2 many.

I had the same problem as u I got my horse 4yrs ago and ther previous over is still ment 2 be sending me old pics.
 
I have all the photos of all the horses/ponies we have ever had, wouldn't dream of throwing them away! They are memories good or bad. All be it they are in a box, but its nice to look through them now and again

I have albums full of horses i have owned/ridden through the years. i love to look at them & couldn't get rid of them. They have been part of my life & i love to remember them.
 
I have all my pics of my old nags. I have some in albums, some in frames and i have got some in pretty storage boxes. I have loved each one of my nags and they are memories that i want to keep. Its nice to be able to show people as well. My friends and i love gossiping over our horsey adventures and its nice to show new friends what we have done etc. My new horses owner took pics of me trying him oput and i am sending her some this week to show her how much he has changed. It makes her happy to keep updated and me proud as he looks fab xx
 
I've never thrown away a picture of anything in my life!

You take a photo for the memories, why would you then bin it?

Do these people bin their holiday snaps after a year too? Bonkers!

If storage is an issue, why not get some free online storage with picasa or photobox? If they are old 35mm photos you can get negative scanners to upload them.
 
I have photos pf every horse I have owned. The two I loved the best have their own albums and then I have a small crate with the wont fit stuff plus some shoe boxes.

I now have a small album of my old mares progeny too.

But then I also have a full album of my old cat as when she died I made a memories album.

I also have a secret box of my OH photos as he hates having his photo taken so I hide them all!!
 
Katt - I was wondering the same thing, surely they wouldn't throw pictures of family members away because they were no longer around or holiday pictures because they are no longer there

I keep almost all the photos of all my old animals, even ones of the ponies I used to ride at the local riding school!

The only ones I would discard would be duplicates or near duplicates. I must say I am grateful for the advent of digital photography as all the most recent photos are stored on the computer otherwise the house would be over-run with albums!
