If you had a horse that was great, but not something your OH could ride and if you had something he could ride he'd contribute.

Also, if you could get a fair price for said horse and your friend was really keen to buy him and bring him on so you'd know he'd go to a good home.

Means you could pay off your debts and then loan a nice ex eventer school master type for yourself and OH to learn from.

What would you do?

Sell the horse.

Your desperate to get rid of one of them - so bite the friend's hand off.

As long as it's not the lovely boy of course

No, Tyrone is here to stay I fear! Hacked him out yesterday and he was a dream. Need to forget the rocky past we've had and have fun.

Said horse is Oscar. I love him to bits but can't help thinking that maybe he is a little complicated for me and OH could never ride him as he's too tall.

Would be lovely to have something he could ride and I'd always have Ty to hack out with him.

We're going to discuss tonight apparently.

If you are trying to sell him, you have found a good home where you can see him and you know the owner and they offer a decent price then YES I would sell.

I wasn't intending on selling him although I have posted about it in the past.....would get a nice amount for him and he'd go far with my friend.

It's very hard when someone is waving the cash under your nose!

Sorry I've not followed all your posts so I might be talking rubbish here...is usually the case

... if your OH has not ridden yet I wouldn't base any horse purchases on him and just do what is best for you. Let him go for lessons somewhere first and see if he enjoys it. If you need to sell for debt reasons then sell, at least you're selling the horse to someone you know - not many of us can do that.

BLIMEY! I really cant keep up with you and your ponios........... I thought your two sharers were taking on ty???

and just a thought but last time you were looking for a horse for you and Him in doors to ride you decided catagorically that you didnt want something to share as it would have to have a bit of bone and you like "pretty" horses....... hence you bought Oscar!

Ah Lex, spoken like a truly sensible horsewoman.

I just told OH that he's got enough cash and to buy himself something! ha ha x

He does ride but is still a novice and as lex said, I prob wouldn't want to ride something that could carry him.....oh well, it was anice idea ... amazing what the smell of hard cash can do to your conscience! ha ha
