Horses have been stuck in for 3 weeks now and have only been in their paddocks a handfull of times

, they are allowed turnout in the school for an hour but this also means no riding (yard of 20+ horses)

Horses were put out yesterday but Y/O went and got them in at 10

resulting in L pi**ing off up the road

Have tried talking to y/o but to no avail.

I know everyone is in the same boat but wondering what you would all do in this situation?

Ours can go in the paddock whenever we want them to during the day for as long as we like. I don't understand why yards are restricting turnout, its frozen solid with a layer of snow on the top so its not like you're going to poach it.

Try to remember that this weather is not going to last forever. If your yard is normally to your liking then just try and sit tight.

At least YO is trying to get them out for leg stretch. If she was putting them out more often in this weather and horse was injured how would you feel? It's exceptional weather and YOs won't be able to please everyone.

Sorry your horse got loose but hopefully no real harm done.

Ditto this ^^

Cut feed down, stuff horse with hay, think about stable toys, consider lunging before you get on (when you get back on)

and cross your fingers that the weather gets back to some semblance of normality! You YO sounds like they are trying their best esp with an hours turnout in the school everyday.
