I am selling a bit on ebay, clearly stating 5" but i have just had this message....

Hello - I see it is a 5" mouth piece but could you please tell me if it is pony size, cob or other? I bought one today only to discover I bought the wrong size as I did not realise they came in different sizes. Many Thanks

I have replied saying pony to cob but to be honest i am not sure i want her to buy the bit. It is obvious she has no idea what size bit her horse needs.

If she bids on it do you think i should cancel the bid or just leave her too it?

Leave her to it. You are not one person crusader, its her money. Maybe shes looked into it bit more now and realises the difference.

erm, i would message her to say that you recommend she measures her horses mouth before buying a bit so that she doesnt waste her money by buying bits that she isnt sure will fit.

thanks, i will just leave her too it then. Just felt a bit unsure with the knowledge she might buy it with no real understanding of bit sizing.

Or ask her to measure a bit that she knows fits her horse/pony and send her this picture.
