im fed up now! my 'old' sharer is back from uni for a few days and has taken pony out for ride this morning - i left her out last night as when i went up at 7 she and her mates were happily munching the grass in the sunshine - so i thought id give her a 'break' and leave her out for the night plus i thought horses with artritis were beter left out (gave her a feed with her bute in) - sharer went up this morning and bought her in left her to stand for an hour and then rode her out. I ve just had a phone call to say 'she didnt feel right' so YO has checked and she is lame again! So following on from yesterdays question 'how much bute' i now have my answer! it will have to be 1 per day to keep her sound. I now have another dilema! I thought i would let her live out as much as poss for the summer (provided i can keep the weight off her!) but last night seems to have made her worse - Sorry for the long one - thanks for getting this far! - Any thoughts please!

Actually - having just read this through again its like asking you folks to comment on 'how long is a piece of string' Sorry! But i feel better having written it all down and moaned!!!!!

Sometimes its good to vent!

Hopefully on a bute a day you wont see so much of this lameness. It may just be that the damp in the air has made things a bit creaky. IMO you are doing right in turning out as much as you can although you may have to resort to very lightweight rugs if this rain keeps on!
