I have been told that after 4 weeks off and 9 weeks on and off I can start riding my horse for 15 mins twice a week at walk! yay
So Sunday I tacked up and set off for a nice walk around the tracks, about 1/3 of the way round my pony span 190 and tried to trot off back to the yard, straight after this it absolutly chucked it down, hailing as well, so hard it was stinging my hands, and after turning my pony back around was unsure of what to do, so I made her walk on about 5 steps then turned her round back to the yard, as we really needed to get back as you could barely see a hand in front of your face the rain was so heavy. Now my question is did I do the right thing??
Was turning her back round to face the wa we were originaly heading and make her walk a few steps (without any fuss) sufficient to make her think she had not got away with the spining or should I have carried on.
I know the spinning was purely down to her senceing it was about to pour but would be interested to hear your views
