OMG!! I have been reading some of the threads re livery charges and cannot believe some of the prices!
I used to share with a friend but she has left now. I was thinking of renting out part of my yard to help with the cost of my own horse.
would include
1 acre paddock (split into 2 with separate access)recently re fenced with horse netting with mains electric fencing,
2 stables with rubber matting
Small feed room
Small storage area
Small caravan for additional storage
Use of 20x30 sand school
water & electric
No feed, bedding or hay included

Was going to ask £30 pw but am seriously having a re-think after reading a lot of the posts!
Wouldn't be 'running' yard as such as would be completely separate to my horse, who would be kept in barn & totally separate field.
What do people on here think?
Feel a bit cheeky but am going to ring local livery yard tomorrow to see what they charge! Obviously I can't charge the same as I won't be providing any services but might get a feel for what someone would pay?
 
I pay £25 for two paddocks new stable shower room and clipping room ,jumping paddock ,school (to be replaced this year) toilets individual tack room and gallop track .We will have horse walker this year hope price doesnt go up as yard is lovely.
 
30pw is resonable with only half an acre for 2 horses??

a private yard near me charges £27 a week for use of (the most incredible) school.... fullset of jumps/jumping field... travel to shows etc...

just too quiet for me tbh i like to be around my friends :)
 
It's for both halfs of the paddock. I have a separate paddock for my horse. It's also for both stables, not per horse, don't know if that came across clear?
 
I currently pay £11 per week per horse for livery on a small yard and 14 acres of grazing. Hay is delivered by YO in large round bales and cost split between owners.
I did look at a 3 horse yard with same facilities as you, but a shared 4 acre paddock. (mine to share with owners cob). It was £15p/w p/horse but would need to buy in own bedding/hay and stable at night, which made it a more expensive option than the yard I was on at the time. That was £25 but straw was included and cheap but good hay was delivered to stable. Had 3 schools, wash box, lunge pen, horse walker etc etc. This yard worked out cheaper in costs than the £15 yard.

If you can source and deliver hay at a good price, it might be helpful as the amount of grazing you have, will limit the turnout livery horses get and push costs up for the owner.
 
I have someone who wants to come but wants to also use the feed room as a stable for her 7 month old foal. It was originally used as a stable for an 11.2 pony but I advertised as feed room as obviously too small for most horses. This would mean she had 3 there. old stallion, a gelding and a foal. She said she would only turn stallion out for an hour if she was there so he would be stabled most of the time.
I am not sure what to do as paddock may be a little over 1 acre but defo not more than 1 1/2 acre. She does showing so horses are stabled most of the time anyway so she would have forage costs wherever she went.
Should I let her bring all 3 and maybe charge £35 per week? Obviously I would have to find her some more storage room instead of feed room.
Local livery charges £22 per week incl straw but no hay or feed, horses are only allowed turnout either all day or all night, not both and she charges for bringing in/out,changing rugs/nightime feeding but morning feed is put in for you if you leave it ready.Also she will not take stallions.
So many different variations it's so hard to work out, don't want to be out of pocket on maintainance/electric/water etc or I may as well just grow the field for hay for my own horse!
 
In the yard that I ran last year I charged £31 p/w for DIY. They had unlimited use of two fab all weather arenas, small xc course, full set of BSJA jumps, secure lorry parking, 24 acres, horse wash and the most stunning 14x14 stables with rubber matting.
 
The yard i use is DIY £125 p/m includ straw,stable,electric,water
must come in overnite throughout the winter..good grazing
reasonable price for hay which is stored at the yard
show.xc jumps.. not allow to used throughout winter as they are outside(churns up the fields)
unlimited use of small indoor school
storage for trailers/boxes for a small fee

owners make their own rota up(bringing /turning in/out/feeding /hols )which works out well or YO will help is she has time with no xtra charge
