What would you rather have?

why have either when there are many nice horses out there?!

jokes aside, probably nice under saddle as i'm sure with time and effort they can undo their wicked ways on the ground!

I'd have the fab under saddle but horrid on the ground horse. As much as I love horses, while they are still fit to work then I like to ride them, the rest of the time is theirs to enjoy as they wish, so nice under saddle would be more important to me.

I have a good to ride horse, i have worked with alot of difficult horses on the ground, and enjoy it more than falling off or fighting with a bad to ride horse.

Good to ride but horrid on the ground...as most of my mares have been. I looked after a mare who was good on the ground but horrid to ride and it just ruined the enjoyment of her.

When I first brought home my lad he was an absolute star both on the ground and under saddle. Within the first month he began to show his true colours and misbehave when being groomed and handled on the ground although he continued to be lovely when ridden. It has to be said that given the choice I would still have him just the way he is. His behaviour on the ground has got better and better with careful and patient handling. He will never probably be great with other people (He's deffo a 1 person at a time pony lol!) But as an ex racer with who knows what treatment in his past I accept that he will most likely take a long time to get over that.

Good to ride, horrid on the ground - isn't that called a mare?! :p

Hahah yeah it is! Kelly is like this...!
If anything happens on our rides out and she starts to nap or anything I will 99% of the time stay on as she gets a bit silly being lead...
Much easier to be nice to ride - being headbutted out of the way doesn't hurt as much as hitting the ground, hard!
