Hi! I hope this is the correct place to put this, I'm new to the forum.

I currently work at a dressage show barn as a stable hand/groom and my boss asked me if I would be interested in going to some shows with her as a groom. They would be 3-4 days and hotel and food is covered. Has anyone done anything like this who could give me some advice? What should I wear while at the shows? (I live in the US)

Something comfortable and practical, suitable for the weather conditions, but not scruffy. Good boots that won’t give you blisters.
Some changes of outfit.
Maybe something more smart-casual if there is evening entertainment.
Riding kit if you are likely to be walking off/exercising

My responsibilities will be, some small amount of riding, mucking, grooming, feeding/watering, making sure the trailers and stalls are ready, leading, tacking/untacking, etc.

In that case I’d wear not tatty riding wear. If you’re anything like me, the sort of thing you’d wear to a lesson rather than every day. Clean jodhpurs, a polo shirt (with a long sleeved base layer underneath if necessary) and a gilet if you need an extra layer. I suspect it might be warm enough for just a polo shirt though.
