Something involving sunshine, a picnic (and quite possibly a pub!), me, my girl, my friend and her girl, hacking through countryside as far as the eye can see followed by a gallop along the beach!!

Then a warm bubble bath and dinner cooked for me - but this bit is not horsey!!

1. I'd have a lie-in while work's drivng ponies and Flame fed, watered and mucked out themselves.

2. I'd go to an Pre-novice British Event on Deb in the morning and she wouldn't be lame or possessed, and my back wouldn't be f**ked.

3. I'd go on a very beautiful, scenic fun ride on Di in the afternoon with a couple of friends.

I can see one of them (Number 3!) maybe happening one day.

A sleep in followed by a ride in the forest with friends, lots of cantering and jumping and loads of giggling. Followed by a ramp picnic complete with bubbles. Watching horsey DVDs in the evening.

Well I would be riding all day on Exmoor. It would be a perfect cloudless warm day, and my arab would perfectly behaved. I would be riding with my old riding buddy Judy (who died 5 years ago, but this is a fantasy ride, right? so I can bring her back to life so she is fit and well and no more cancer). We set off early in the morning, spend all day exploring all the tracks and trails, and as darkness falls we met up with our families for dinner and drinks, and we sit out under the stars by a fire, with the horses dozing in a paddock nearby. That would be the day of all days for me.

We almost had the perfect day last summer. Had been staying away at a 2 day western show and got up to find that madam hadn't rolled and wasn't covered in poo.
Had a really fun day - OH won his trail class and qualified for the championship class at the nationals, I actually managed to do my western riding pattern without madam napping and came 2nd, then OH got amateur high point champ.
Best of all it was gorgeous weather, the organisers were really relaxed and friendly, OH had loads of banter with the other competitors (the guys that do western are like school kids when they get together!) and there was time to watch our friends compete because of the relaxed schedule.
Only thing that almost spoiled it - rushing around like the dedicated groom I am I must have got a bit of sunstroke and couldn't eat our celebration supper at the pub when we got home. Doh!
