Going to look at a horse tomorrow, dont want to say too much, but I know this horse was for sale a few months ago for alot more than she is asking for it now.

Bargain or not quite right????

What would you think????

I'd judge the horse on the day.
Overdrafts begin to bite after a bit and reality can have quite an effect on an asking price.
'What's he been doing for the last few months?' might be a really important question though.

Depends by how much you mean by a lot, hundreds? Thousands?

Hundreds I'd think it were because they hadn't had any interest..

Thousands I'd be thinking something more serious.. A possible failed vetting by another person who viewed the horse..?

Agree with Skewbald_again though, definitely ask what the horse has been doing :)

Talking thousands!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

The woman has stated open to vet and lack of time forces sale.

Maybe its just me reading far to much into. This time of year and bad weather and money maybe. She looks really nice and has done xc and sj

As long as its not a misprint :D

If the horse looks ok and goes ok, why not just look her in the eye and ask her? (the person, obviously not the horse!!!!!!!!)

Wouldn't worry necessarily someone I know listed a horse for sale early last year and started at about 8K after not getting interest she lowered to 6K and sold, nothing was wrong with the horse. So go and see, and always get it vetted. The market is not moving much, so if they really want it sold then they've probably just dropped to a more saleable amount.

i would be wary! however, you could always ask politely if there is any reason why the price has lowered. The owner may simply be desprately needing cash- remember to go for the 5 stage vetting and bloods, best of luck!

In all fairness I personally think the horse was a little over priced with things being as they are and the mare is home bred and been with the same owner all her life, which also means she has only been riden by her and her husband. Might not like other people????
