Took Poppy for a walk in hand around our fields yesterday, lots of hills to climb! At the top of one particularly steepish one, I stopped "to admire the view" in other words to catch my breath - Poppy proceeded to drop down and have a good roll! Thank goodness I was not riding her!
Just a quick question - when is it correct to be firm rather than re-assure. We went on a walk where she had been before, but proceeded to act as if sheep had never been seen and spooked at stupid things. I did get cross and get firm with her, rather than perhaps re-assure, but she does take the piss sometimes and will walk all over me.
