So my default "bored" setting is to look at puppies for sale! I'm not actively looking for one now but one day i will!
Just come across a Chorkie? Any idea what this is? I'm assuming a xbreed with a trendy name but not sure what!?

Also saw a Maltese puppy advertised "been with us 3 weeks and has settled in really well, Purchased from a reputable breeder" FFS poor little soul. Probably too puppy like or some other such crap and surely a reputable breeder with take him back at that age and re-sell to more suitable owners? :( so sad.

Oh of course! sometimes the obvious just needs pointing out! I knew the Yorkie bit as thats what i had searched it was the "ch" that threw me!

I used to hate yorkies as a kid, i did a paper round to keep my pony and regularly one would be in a garden and go for me , once drawing blood from my knee!
More recently since moving house there is a house i pass often either with my dog or horse and they have 3 of the most quiet, well behaved and friendly little yorkies ever which has made me really like the breed!
I do like them scruffy though, not the quaffed show look!

Daft thing is that most of the crosses are unpredictable as to what would turn out and what people are looking for usually already exists in breed form.
Look up Australian terriers which is what many people want instead of a Yorkie.

i must admit i also window shop for dogs even though i cant have any more . i cant work out some of the fancy crosses and have to look at the ad to find out , some of the crosses are so weird its almost like people try and find the most obscure so they can ask a fortune for the little mongrels....

Working on a new designer breed based on Fox terrier, briard, shih tzu & pomeranian.
This would give shih tfobrains - ideal for the sort of people daft enough to buy one.

i met an older couple coming out of the vets with a black , spaniel puppy - looked like a cocker, on close inspection it had slight wispy curls in places. What a lovely wee spaniel I said. The owners were quite affronted and said no no, he is a cockerpoo. FFS

I'm a bit of a lurker too on all the dog ads P, It seems to me that there a lot of these young dogs/pups that people have owned only for a few weeks or perhaps they state they are 12 weeks old or more and often they have one or two to sell. But rather than stating in the ad that they have bred the pups themselves and have only one or two left, which most people would do, they seldom mention owning the bitch or show a photo of her, nor make any reference to the father or it's breeding.

I'm thinking these poor creatures have been brought into the UK, probably illegally, having been bred in some hideous puppy farm somewhere in the EU. They often seem to be small dogs such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, Poms, Dachshunds or the like and are often priced considerably lower than one would expect to pay for a pup from a reputable breeder. It makes me very suspicious.

I have a 7 month old pup, 'supposedly' a Jack Russell crossed with a Shih Tzu. If anyone asks I say she's a Jack-*hit :)

Chilli pup I'd love to see a photo?
My beloved little dog who I lost to heart failure last summer was a Jr. X shih tzu. I miss him immensely although I have other big dogs hence the reason I'm always looking for a tiny mongrel type as he was just tough as old boots and a huge character.
Someone once asked us what he was and I was going to give my usual JR cross reply but my daughter piped up "he's a sh**y Russell!"

Oh good god! That is totally what I'm after! (One day!)
Nothing like mine was at all which I guess just highlights how you never know what to expect with X breeds.
She's truly beautiful ❤️ Love her scruffy little face!
Mine was very solid colours and although very long hair it looked short as in it laid neat and flat but you could loose your hand in it! He also had less of a Jr shaped face.
She's my dream dog!!

My MIL has "little people" although she doesn't refer to them as chorkies, they actually have a very nice temperament, even though I am not really a little dog kind of person. The eldest is almost 7 and has never had any issues with life, she's quite cute:
