What's going on with my mares nipples?! (Pics)

Noticed this today, the little black dots, has anyone seen this before and knows what it is? I haven't had her long enough for her to let me touch so haven't been able to have a good look, also her left one seems a little swollen? Any ideas or a vet jobbie?

agreed, blood left fom fly bites. get used to this sight, annoyingly you will see it every summer. As other have said find a good fly repellant tht works for you. I use a fly gel based product for my boys sheath area as it is easier to apply and sticks well.

Yes teats get mucky, wash and apply something repellent, I use straight udder crime as its cheap and it works. Weirdly my mare loves me rubbing it in, she's a bit special!
