Does he own the horse? As vets/farrier comment got me confused.

Going rate for a hireling about £120 per day excl. cap

Going rate for full hunting livery about £150-180 per week

WOW - £170!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking £150 per week and horse would be treated like mine, so not enough cotton wool in county!!

And for that would be exercise daily with turnout, all food and bedding plus once a week canterwork and then full prepared for sat (tack cleaning, plaiting, pulling and clipping included). Horse hacked to meet on sat, but either collected and hacked (prefered hacked home, cosit's a good way to make sure horse is sound and cools down after hunting)

Chap to pay for any vets bill and all farrier bills
