Eventing What's happened to cholmondeley?

They had 2 dates in for summer with BE, now there is none at all. Disappointed if it's gone it was a fab event when we had the opportunity to run there, I know they cancelled all last year as the BE didn't get enough entries to be viable

From their Facebook page, their 2022 events were cancelled due to calendar problems with BE and too many competing events limiting entries.

They said they hoped to be back in 2023 if BE would be supportive but as there has been nothing in their page since, I assume they couldn't make it work.

Nothing is listed on the Musketeer events page re Cholmondeley 2023. Or indeed Houghton, which is owned by the same family.

Further to the extraordinary level of communications and questions we have had today, regarding the exclusion of Barefoot Retreats Houghton International from the released British Eventing calendar on Monday 12th December, it is with great sadness that we confirm that currently British Eventing has not renewed the affiliation agreement for Houghton meaning that the fixture is not scheduled to run in 2023.
Houghton Hall Estate and Musketeer remain totally committed to an event running at the venue and we both continue to challenge this decision, around which we have had very little communications as to the reason why.
We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all those who have been involved and given up their time and made commitment in all the different ways to this wonderful fixture over the 16 years.
We will update with further developments if anything changes.

That's so sad, I wonder if that's why cholmondeley was pulled. I'm sure they were doing a grassroots 3 day this year originally
