Whats Silverton (nr Exeter) like?

We are looking at possibly moving to Silverton as there is a farm we like there.Does anyone know anything about what its like there?Is it horsey?We'd be looking at doing livery so just wondering if there would be much demand for it.Any help would be great.
 
I dont live in Silverton but near. Yes, it is horsey and they even have their own hunt (The Silverton Hunt). I dont know how much demand there is for livery in that area. Its a bit too far out to get the Exeter catchment area and there is Upton Pyne Equestrian Centre not too far away. Not that everyone wants to be on a big yard like that tho. I could see that you would have people interested if you did start a livery but I am sure people who live nearer could advise.
 
I lived in Exeter for a number of years. Silverton is nice and I think if you offered livery that was a little more economical than the nearest competitor - maybe some grass livery/ retirement/DIY then you would do well!
