whats the best calmer

My mare is a stressy witch in her paddock and l want to try aa calmer what one do you use please.

i use ''relax me'' its a brilliant calmer, I use it on a horse thats very nervous and it really makes a difference

Most off the shelf calmers are magnesium based and this only works if your forage is deficient in magnesium.

I use Global Herbs Box Rest, even though he isn't on box rest. I don't know whether it's the calmer or the general change of diet but my horse has transformed from a bucking broncho nut job to normal...

I have changed her paddock and she seems settled for a few days and then today the horses either side of her where taken in but she still had a horse two paddocks up was still out she just goes nuts galloping around. I get so upset because everything else is chilled and l have a nutter

Her last paddock she had a horse next to her and she still went nuts the other horse was only two paddocks up. I had to move her to a yard with individual paddocks as she was badly kicked at her last yard.

Two paddocks up is obviously not close enough for her to feel safe

Just because she was kicked at the last yard isnt really a reason to keep her on her own. There will be an adjustment period but provided there is enough space and food horses are far better in a group.

Its not good for their mental state to be on their own in the field, then in solitary in a stable.
