Whats the best hoof hardener to use

Hi i am looking for a hoof hardener for my warmblood x tb. I currently use kevin bacon and also feed biotin supplement. Iv been looking at hoof hardeners but wondered if anyone could recommend one that is very good as his hoofs have been cracking
 
Things like biotin, farriers formula, formula 4 feet etc will take 9-12 months before old hoof grows out. Ive been using naf biotin and i can see where the hoof has hardened! I also use naf profeet rock hard which i now only put on once a week on my barefooter which i find very good (when she hasnt got thrush), it hardens the sole, frog and hoof. I didnt think kevin bacon hoof dressing hardens them just nourishes the hoof and helps stops the cracks.
 
Charisma had an awful crack on her near front but after months of biotin and a couple of months of Kevin Bacon it looks good as new ;) and much stronger. All her feet do, the only thing now is they grow so quick ??????????

I have also heard that Keratex is an excellent product.

I also agree ^^^^^, ive also been feeding rosehip and changed my mares diet to a non starch diet and believe there diet has alot to do with there hooves!
 
My horse was constantly having cracked hooves, which often lead to his shoes falling off and ripping half his hoof off with it.

My farrier recommended Carr Day & Martin intensive hoof moisturiser and I absolutely swear by the stuff. It completely got rid of his cracks and...touch wood...he's not lost a shoe for a good 3 years since Ive been using it!

However, im struggling to find anywhere that stocks this now but I know they do a daily moisturiser, which Im hoping will have the same desired result!
 
i use rosehips - about 6/7 fed out the hand - if they dont like to eat them out of the hand then then crush them up and mix with feed.
