whats the best product to compliment quarter marks?

Hi, im having a bit of trouble holding and complimenting quarter marks, i usually just slap the mark on, brush over it and finished. But it disappears over a short period of time...what is the best thing to make it look good on her quarters? do i sprey coat shine on the bum first? or water?or baby oik? just to wet it and then use the quarter marks and finish with a nother squirt of coat shine? or just rub the quartter marks over the bum with a wet brush? what is best???
 
I've had brill results just with human super-hold hair spray squirted on afterwards! Shockwaves is good and non-sticky and brushes off afterwards. You can also experiment with the human gel stuff that lads use to get extreme spiky hairstyles. Try some stuff out before a show to find out what works/looks best. Borrow off your mates before you buy!
 
Gold label quatermark spray is absolutely brilliant.
when i do quatermarks with it they stay in all day even when touched and they realy stand out.
 
I use hair spray as well, but I do put it on before and after doing the mark, holds it really well! I use it on my instructers event horse, is name is Mozart Makes Music, so has musical notes on his bum, and his held for the whole event!
 
i use hairspray as well, but i do find with my mare that due to her short fine coat even then it doesnt ,ark that well so i dont bother.
