What's the best rug reproofer??

As title: one of my Shires turnouts leaked like mad yesterday in constant rain, and I am looking to reproof it.

I use Nikwax, never had a problem with it. Though someone posted somewhere about using Ronseal, apparently the brick sealant actually has on the tin that you can use it on material and it breathes properly too, I will be trying it next time.
