Whats the diffence between

a loose ring snaffle and a fixed ring snaffle?
I obviously know one is loose and one is fixed but what don they do differently?

The loose-ring snaffle will help to discourage the horse to lean down on the bit. It should be used with rubber bit rings

i prefer fixed rings beacuse they don't pinch as much - you can't use bit rings on a loose ring in dressage

loose rings can also be slightly harsher than a fixed ring.

What about the difference between a normal jointed, french link and happy mouth snaffle?

Ive tried both and my pony goes much better in fixed ring
