I have been looking out on Ebay for an Albion comfort bridle for a few months and they always seen to get their money, when some of the other type of comfort bridles seem to be considerably cheaper.
why are they so much better, or is it just a name thing?
would love your ideas on this

The leather and the design is far better with the Albions. I was looking about for months before deciding to bite the bullet and buy an albion, nothing else compared. Alot of them have a slot where the noseband threads through and ver the headpiece, this creates a bulge next to the horses ear, so isnt truly free of pressure. Everything with the albion is so wide and soft, it must be sooo comfy! They really are worth the money IMHO

This probably isn't much help but I have a Heritage 'comfort' bridle. Only got it as someone at my yard was selling it, brand new as she had sold her horse and had it left over.

It was a bit stiff to start off with but has since become very soft with oiling and care, e.g. making sure I clean it a lot! It's OK really, nothing earth shattering and it has a nice padded pole & noseband (crank) with the nose band head piece going over the top. It's lasted 2 years so far and still looks good.

I was drooling over an Albion bridle a while ago at a tack shop must admit it was amazing quality and extremely soft. If I had the money I would definitely get one. I bought the heritage for £30 and have actually had quite a few comments on how nice it looks and everyone thinks it's a much more expensive bridle!

So softness seems to be a recurring theme, must say I haven't actually looked at one in real life only on the net, maybe if I did, I would answer my own question!
Off to look up Barnsby now...
Thanks for all you thoughts its great to have them

I have had 2 comfort bridles and the one I prefer is the Albion. It seems to fit my horse better, leather is more supple and they clean up like new. Didn't have a problem with other bridle I just prefer the Albion
