one of my horses had warts few years ago and got a old remedy bacon grease and iodine and it worked a treat. but took few weeks and they fell off.
someone at my local yard has a pony that has a sacroid on her jaw and has got alot bigger. she was on holidays last few weeks and had yard mind pony and when came back sacroid twice the size. i know this is what happens and she is getting vet to have another look 2morrow but he said a few weeks ago when he 1st seen pony that it will just take its course and eventually fall of. which is fine but she is also going to try the old remedy i used, as it wont do anyharm.

but what is the difference in equine warts and sacroids? is there a difference.
also anything you have used i would love to hear and will pass it on. also vet did mention he could put a band on it and it would fall of. but i read that this isnt good as it could come back worse is this true.

Juvenile warts spontaneously resolve presumably as a horses immune system builds

Sarcoids come in many forms and a good diagnosis of type is important particularly if one is fast growing so correct treatment can be given.
Flies can spread sarcoids so important to address fly protection

my foal got warts all over his muzzle when he was around 9 months old, the vet called them grass or milk warts! they had disappeared by the time he was 19 months and have never returned! someone told me to get a likit to rub them off.. but i just left well alone and they went!
