Went to an HT last week and my duaghter was early on in the day and they weren't giving out prizes and rosettes until the end of the day. We were all done by 10.30am and so went home.

I have seen the result on the web and my daughter came 2nd in her class. I've emailed the secretary of the riding club and asked if I can collect her rosette. She should get a prize too (groom brush or whip or something). I haven't had a reply yet.

Do clubs usually send out rosettes to people who weren't at the prize giving, or is it up to me to collect it? Or do people just forget about it and not bother having their prize.

This is my duaghters first rosette on her new pony so it means a lot to her.

I would normally either leave an SAE at the show or post one to them so they can forward the rosette. Most of these shows are run on a shoestring with the help of volunteers so it's a bit unreasonable to expect them to post out to everyone who wasn't able to stay. I would ring the secretary and either arrange to collect or ask her how much it would cost to send and supply an envelope.
Incidentally, most BE ODEs insist that someone is around to collect rosettes and prizes as a courtesy to the organisers and sponsors or you forfeit your prize.

Ok - thanks for that we haven't been before so will make sure we can be at the prize giving in future!

I've had a reply from the RC and I can collect the rosette and prize from them - it's not too far luckily!
