whats the real difference between elasticated and leather breast girths?

Aside from the obvious, leather and elastic, lol, when ridden in how does it feel? Im really using it to stop saddle slipping, but more for the neck strap (nervy nelly,lol)...I'm going to buy one, but not sure which? Leather or elastic? And has anyone had any experience good or bad with a particular one? Cheers chikas.x
 
I have a hunting breastplate all leather which i use in dressage comp as looks smarter in my opinion. I have an elastic one also which i use hacking and for fast work- i don't know why really but i tend to think it has a bit more give for shoulder movement, however it obviously allows saddle to move slightly.
