Whats the strangest thing you've had to ride around in the arena?

Previously i've had vans parked in the arena whilst i've been riding, at the weekend there were about 10 round bales of hay randomly placed in there and now there is 10 tonne of rubber sitting in the middle!!! Hopefully it will all be spread out by the time i ride though!

Quite a few years ago and neither were in the arena at home so don't really count, but
1, a tank

2, an elephant and at the same show camels

Had to dodge a car which shot through my dressage arena at an ODE once... "Very calm and attentive horse" said the judge's comment...
Pigs sunbathing was a favourite in the sand school at my parents'. You'd discover one unexpectedly behind a jump...

The other day there was a strange mound in the arena which on closer inspection contained a sheep's leg poking out of the top (put there by the labrador). At the moment there is a big hole in the middle where a drain has had to be uncovered. This has proved very exciting for the horses (less so for me)!

The yard cat using the sand school as a litter tray. About to practise dresssage test, about to enter at A and found cat in the way, Charlie's next hoofprint would have finished the cat off, however the cat survived

at the minute, i am using the school around the corner from the lady who i used to loan horses from. Its her own private yard and land, so instead of paying to keep it somewhere, she currently has her caravan and gazibo up in the grassy area next to the arena that i walk past and is right next to the track. Horse did get a bit of a shock when we first went through the gate as it is covered by lots of trees

Last year at scope not only do you have to ride around the colourful light-up water fountain at one end of the arena but I was one of the first to compete in the ring on the sat morning and obviously some kids (or adults!!) had got a litte drunk at the party the night before and decided to put fairy liquid in the fountain. Needless to say there were a lot of bubbles!!!

I have rode around cars on platforms, large christmas trees with presents under at a x-mas bsja festival at towerlands and they also had a 15 foot easter bunny at Pony of the Year show once as it is held over easter weekend. It frightened so many ponies, I don't think they have done it again!!!
