...two of them!! I'm overjoyed that my bitch is getting on so well with her new companion that we've had for just over a week however it is getting a little tiresome having 2 small bundles hurtling round the house at breakneck speed and having to constantly watch where you put your feet. Hope this honeymoon period settles down soon because just watching them tires me out!

Huge smile on my face reading this. This is exactly why I will never have less than two dogs again...it's just so nice seeing them be happy, playful dogs together :)

I know what you mean, tiring yet very entertaining, I love watching all my dogs interact and play, glad they are loving each other!

How lovely .. I was having the same thoughts re company .. Sam has only been here a week but I think my company alone is not enough and he was so happy when he had a run out with my friend's dog this week. Problem is he's a german Pointer so quite large and fast and I Am Not Taking On Another Same Sized Dog! :o Maybe I could trade him in for two smaller dogs lol..

Get a Jack Russell....treat it like a big dog (as in don't allow it to get away with anything just because it's small) and you'll have a fab little dog that will be more than capable of playing and keeping Sam company :)

They absolutely love each other. Saffie is a Lab x Rottie and 6.5st and Squirrel is teeny by comparison (they were about 1 year old in this pic)...but Saffie stalks Squirrel, pounces on him and as much as you'd think she'd squish him, he gives as good as he gets. They play, play fight, wrestle and all sorts, but it's never got even remotely nasty and neither has ever hurt the other.

Go for it...because they still do this :)
