My tb who I tried to go bare foot with is now pottery in trot, will keep it short. I brought him from racing and he's had a 7 month hol and within this time I took all his shoes off, he was very sore and I put fronts back on him but when he was bare he strided out nicely until he went sore, now he's got fronts back on he is very pottery in trot and has short choppy strides in walk. He's having backs put back on next week but I'm a bit worried about his walking as I worry about navicular. i don't know why I'm posting this really as unless you see him it's hard to comment but wondered if anybody has had the same?
Could it be because the shoes don't suit him? But than I couldn't manage him bare foot.
Could there be more to it like navicular?
Could it be because he's sore behind and because off that he's moving wrong all round to cope?
He has no heat no swelling and seems happy as normal but choppy strides.
I had wondered about walking him out when he's shod next in front just to see what he's like before his shoes go back on.
