Some of poor souls don't actually own a horse and have to make do with a couple of hours a week in lessons. So to feed my horsey addiction the rest of the working week I need some good books! So which are your favourites? Which ones would be a really good companion to lessons? I'm very much a novice and am working towards being able to balance and carry myself with a good independent seat. While I know there is no substitute for actually being on a horse I do love a bit of theory and would be grateful for some suggestions to add to my Christmas list ;)

Thank you!

Reading Pippa Funnells Training the Young Horse at the moment & prob best book I have read in years.

On another note - why don't you start working towards your BHS Exams?

Thank you for that, will take a look at that one! Exams are a good thought, have done my ABRS stage 1 (gives you an idea of the lowly level I am at! ;)) Its been about 25 years since I took exams so I'm not sure I could cope with the stress!!
