Not bad at all. Our field is well drained and the 3 horses can stay out all the time if needed - with a bit of hay at night.

Fields are looking good, grass is pretty much dead now though. We can turn out as much as we want, which is about 13 hours a day for Chex.

Our fields are under about 3 inches of snow. Before the snow fell we still had a fair amount of grass there.

Four of them sharing a 6 acre field that had been grazed by cows in the summer, apart from a bit of mud around the gate, and 3 shoes madam has managed to lose in the field it is in great nick, with grass still available.

muddy at the gateway and not a lot of grass but unrestructed turnout and the field itself is well drained.

my girls happy but she goes out for more of a leg stretch than for any nutritional value!!

My two boys are on the winter paddock - very muddy by the gate and round the edges with a little grazing in the middle. They get hay put out in the morning and are out 4 days a week between 9 and 4.

Roll on summer and 24 x 7 grazing if they want it. Cairo hates it and still comes in between 9 and 4 at least one or two days a week or he sulks and escapes when you open the gate and runs for his stable if left out for more than a week.

24/7 turnout in 3 acres, 4 ponies 1 horse, the grass is covering the ground, but not thick, it was fertalised last spring. I have just started putting hay out for the first time since october! the next patch they are moving onto is wet/boggy, so they are on the dry bit for the moment. as I don't want the ground churned. The filly's are on 2.5 ish acres, the grass is good quality, but not plentiful, so they are having lots of hay out, and praying for no rain, as the ground is close to the solent and gets damp at hih tide!

I have 3 that live out 24/7 in a nice 6 acre field. The gateway is bit muddy but nothing major, the area by the water trough is slightly muddy but the rest of the field is great.
However I have 2 horses stable at livery and their field is very wet/muddy - its slowly drying out but very deep and most of the field is wet - great for a mud fever sufferer!

Im not complaing because at least I have somewhere for them to be turned out and they have the field to themselves.

Mine have just changed into one of their rested paddocks so they are very happy munching away, we have 3 to rotate between, the one they just moved from was virtually ruined but we never restrict their turnout.

Mine is fine but then I have one horse in a 2 and a half acre field. I move the electric fence and let him have loads more every month in winter so I have plenty left for the next two months. The rest is well eaten but plenty to graze on and not too muddy...just around his field stable entrance and around his favourite hanging out tree! There are plenty of divots where he has had a canter round...but nothing a harrow won't sort in the spring!

it is all trashed completely and our summer field is being used too. Poor P is really hungry when he comes in at night. Not a happy bunny here

Its pretty good. Only two of them in it as horses here are in twos or threes and there seems to be a decent bit of grass. Mud in the gateways and along one of the hedgerows. But i guess they only go out from 8.30 am till 3pm.

Ours was good when there was only two of them on it but now there are three though the new one is 18.2 so equates for about 2 horses! And hes trashed the field especially as they leave him our longer than we do ours (ours are out for half a day). We only have that one field and it was fab all year round but now its in a right state so its going to need some real work done on it this spring.
