Whats your opinions ?

Does anyone else agree a horse is for life not just for when you feel like it...?
unless you a good rider and are training them to sell on (but must be done propaly ) also say you out grow your pony/horse. but not changing horse like the weather changes. What all your opinions ?

I sold my first pony on due to circumstances and she was too much for me etc, but my horse I have now I couldnt bear to part with unless it was something really drastic (i cant even think what) but she will be with me until her last days

I cant bear the thought of her going to someone else. I love her too much! She will teach my kids to ride( because they WILL want to)

no i just think horses dont deserve to be past to home to home just becuase there previous owner want a different colour

Selling a horse because you want a different colour is absolutely ridiculous, these people should be questioning why they get a horse in the 1st place.
For me, a horse is for life unless something really drastic happens, IMO there are far too many callous people in the horse world who buy and sell horses far too easily without thinking.

I wouldn't sell my first pony, I wouldn't sell any of my ponies. I owe them a retirement after what they have done for me.

We have to sell Rocco. But this is for his benefit, to a home where he will receive more attention, love, care and will fulfil his potential more so than he could here.

Well I certainly wouldn't sell a horse because I wanted a different colour, but I have sold horses which have turned out to be unsuitable to me, I have overhorsed myself a couple of times, and have been very honest to the people I have sold to, and don't feel guilty about that.

I personally don't think a horse is for life, people improve and want something more challenging, or maybe want something quieter, and I don't think they should be made to feel bad about that.

My boys are with me for life unless something really drastic were to happen and I couldn't give them the care they deserve. To chop and change because of colour is terrible. They are my babies and couldn't imagine not having them now
