I would like to do some visiting this year.

If any of you hunt with the Wheatland or either of the Albrighton hunts, could you tell me what their country is like, and what type of jumps I would be expected to tackle!

Many thanks in advance

The Wheatland is my 'local' and the country is quite variable. Some of it is very muddy (when the rain comes!), fair bit of woodland and arable. Mainly hunt jumps and gappy hedges. I don't know the Albrighton as well - only been out with them a few times when sab monitoring years ago - but it's rather more open, more grassland.

I hunt with the Albrighton, mainly hunt jumps very few hedges. There are some notoriously good meets, let me know if you would like to know where!

Lots of grassland and seem to go through some quite deep wood type areas. They are a lovely bunch though and if you drop Julian an e-mail he is super helpful :)

Thanks - am I right in thinking there are 2 Albrighton hunts, Albrighton Woodland and the Albrighton or have I got myself confused (easily done!)?

jess_asterix have sent you a pm.
