Wheee!! Out hacking in the pouring rain!!

Wasn't planning on going out today cos it's v wet & windy here. Saddler brought back my jumping saddle at 4.30 as Barry Swain has finally condescended to alter it, so I had to ride up the field to check it fitted, & once I was out, it didn't feel as bad as I was expecting.

Put on my usual ton of fluorescent stuff, persuaded o/h onto his mountain bike & off we went. Kind of exhilarating, hacking in the rain & wind, & new horsey, who's only 4, didn't put a foot wrong.

Anyone else been out for a soaking today?

yep - 9am to 1pm at a local show on the ground helping 4 other riders/horses

Went for a hack round the roads as woods now too wet. Stopped by at my Dad's house on the way past. Stepmum said I looked like a gnome on a horse! Bloody Cheek!!

Nope, horsey got a bad back, still good excuse as i wouldnt have fancied it.... merlin hates the rain and tries to turn round the whole time!!! Plus I have the choice of the indoor school.... so we played in there together (unmounted) and you would not have thought there was anything wrong with him!!!!

Yep rode and lead three sets then went home and rode my beastie! Clothes are now drying by aga!

You are all very lucky...I would love to hack out in the rain but I am banned from riding at the moment because I messed my back up last week and have been in discomfort all flippin weekend. Back to physio tomorrow and really hope to get the go ahead again!!! Fingers crossed!
