Wheelbarrow wheel

This is a silly question but how do I know what size wheel to get for my wheelbarrow? I dont have the old wheel as it was taken off and as it was buckled got thrown away. its a fairly big barrow but im a bit stumped as to find a new wheel and tyre

Do you know the make of wheelbarrow? If yes then Amazon do the wheels quite cheaply. Alternatively if someone has the same sort then measure theirs.

The average wheelbarrows are much the same. Just be sure that the mounting matches up to your new wheel and you would probably be okay. We have a wheelbarrow graveyard here. We take off everything that is still workable and ditch the busted bit. Then when the next one goes we usually can find something to sort it out and away it goes again.

You need to measure from the spoke that goes through the middle of the wheel to the closest part of the body of the barrow, then double that figure. That gives you the maximum diameter, and I'd deduct an inch or two to give room, especially when the barrow is loaded.
