My mare has been a nightmare since i moved her to a new yard with a late cut gelding who she is absolutely in love with!
She's coming into season every few weeks heavily (gunk all down her legs, breaking out the field and in with the boys, totally unable to focus/stand still) and today she's looked quite uncomfortable and was a bit snappy which is unlike her and surprise surprise when turned out strutted straight up to the boys and started squirting. Im reluctant to do too much as she has had quite serious liver problems this year resulting in colic and a hospital stay so chemicals or even herbal things are the last thing i want to give her, but if its making her uncomfortable maybe its time to try something. Just to be clear i am asking for suggestions only, will be speaking to a vet about the risks for her liver before changing the balance I've got with her feed.
So if anyone's been in a similar situation id appreciate some advice/suggestions. Thanks
