Hi, ive just bought my first pony..he's a traditonal cob..

His previous owner had kept him out all this winter with no rug..so as you can imagine he looks like a mammoth..Ive already filled 3 wheelbarrow fulls of his hair..and he still looks hairy!

Umm, last year, the end of April for me if I remember correctly  Is he in atm? If so, and you have electricity, you could try leaving the lights on for an extra hour or so when it starts to get dark. His body clock will think it's later in the year and hopefully will lose fluff more quickly :D Be careful he doesn't lose too much too quickly and get cold though :)

With my Sect D X....whenever she pleases!! ;)
The hairy cob we used to ride finished moulting about middle of April - beginning of May but I think it differs for all :)
