My mini had her 1st (of many over winter) bib and belly clip yesterday, a goodly amount was sheared.

B fuzzy will get her 1st clip after next weekend, depending on weather forecast as she's getting v warm when working due to coat thickening.
Def will have at least a chaser clip before end Sept and hopefully stay rugless a while....

Sometime this month - cobbus is looking a bit woolly. I won't take it all off yet, I like him to have some rugless time when the b*stard midges have died off.

Usually when autumn hunting starts. I go to a couple then decide he's getting too hot and pay someone to take it all off. Trouble is he needs clipping again just a few weeks later. After the second clip he usually goes until about new year, then I have the final clip done in January.

Booked in for end of October, but if she starts getting fluffy and sweaty will try and pull it forward - it feels like the right sort of weather for it, already!

Mine badly needs clipping , or clipping badly as I usually do. He was sweating quite a bit yesterday doing what he was ok with a fortnight ago.

Depends on the weather. If too warm for the coat coming through, asap. If not, leave until moulting has mostly finished and do it then.

Our Shetland and Welsh think they are about to freeze any minute and are growing winter coat at speed. The others haven’t even noticeably started ?.
