My friend always feeds her gang before Walkies so they Poo in the walk. I always believed that dogs shouldn't go out on a full stomach and be fed straight straight after a walk? Is this true? Or does it not really matter?

Mine get fed in the morning after going out for wee and Poo. Then door left open until OH goes to work I get up 5.30 and OH leaves at 8ish where one or two normally goes with. So no real walk in the morning. Then they get fed anything between 7-9 depending when they go for walk. Last wee and Poo 10-1130pm.

i feed in morning about 10mins after walk - and in evening once we've finished eating - i'd not walk a dog on a full stomach tbh... when its a shoot day i try to feed at least an hour before they are working

Once a day and late, prob between 7 and 8pm if we walk later, we feed later.
The bigger dogs have to wait a good hour after exercise to be fed and if I have dogs boarding that get breakfast (large breeds) they wait 2 hours between breakfast and morning exercise.

As I have two large chested dogs (high risk of bloat) they are fed around an hour after returning from walks, 2 meals a day so it's 8am and 8pm usually give or take. Think the others would be fine feeding straight after coming back but they are fed as a pack so have to wait. ;)

I used to not be hugely fussy about feeding after exercise but having been there when my friends GSD died of bloat it's not something I want any of my dogs to experience so it certainly made me think about my management of my pack.

AM- fed 7ish- walked 8-8.30
PM walked whenever usually fed between 7 and 9

Weekends it may differ an hour or two"!

our are walked 6:30am then fed on return. Walked 4:30pm then fed on return. The big lad gets a third meal at about 8pm. We dont walk on a full stomach - if their walks have to be delayed so do their meals :)

Mine are fed a small token meal in the morning, about 40 minutes after exercise. They are fed main meal in the evening any time between 5 and 7, depending on what I am doing. I always leave at least an hour after exercise before feeding and after they have been fed they just potter in the garden, no fast exercise.
At one of the places I work they always feed their 3 dogs and then take them straight out for a walk, makes me shudder but as the dogs are in their teens and very healthy I don't feel it is my place to say anything.

I feed am half an hour after walk and pm the same. As jsr, mine are deep chested so don't want to risk bloat.

Late night trip down to field for last clearout! :D

Walked 5.30am then fed as soon as they get back. Evening walk at about 5pm and then again they get their dinner as soon as they come back. Whoever isn't walking has the food made up and waiting on the wheelie bin.

Breakfast between 6.30 and 7am then she runs into the garden to do her thing, come straight back and sleeps until 8.30 when its walkie time.

Mine are fed in the morning between 6-7 and tootle in the garden.

They are walked at some point during the day and have access to the garden for most of it. :)

They have supper at about 6pm most nights - then tootle in the garden/chase the cat until bed time ;):D

St Sweep's stomach has it's very own alarm (barks at me:rolleyes) for when it needs filling up:D:D
