When Lemieux L acoustic ears are too small…

…what brand do you use? The Lemieux large is just a bit too small all round. I don’t want to buy an XL in another brand as I think they’ll be too big, but is there another brand that the large is more generous?

I buy Millie the XL as even the L is too small for her (and she’s only a 15hh part bred Welsh)

The Lemieux are ( or were) available in XL, I had them in several colours for both my horses and also in the Acoustic style. I think I have bought the Acoustic in black in size XL but it was sometime back so maybe they don't do that size anymore?

I also had Mattes custom made ears in size XF - but that was a fairly expensive option.

All le mieux comes up small you will probably be OK for large in a different brand, I'm sure someone told me you can just buy the acoustic inserts but maybe I imagined that

Lemieux don’t do the acoustic ones in xl any more.

He might not need acoustic ears really - he is a massive drama queen being ridden in the rain. He twists and turns his head in all directions to try to get away from it. Tried a pair of the lemieux acoustic ears today and they worked a treat. But maybe thinner ears wouldn’t be enough against all this rain we are having! So they’re actually not to block out any noise, I could ride him around a heavy metal gig without issue, but he doesn’t like a bit of rain on his face
