Jess's owner has been very very poorly recently and it looks like she is not going to be able to work or look after the horses properly for a long time.

She has decided to sell one of her other horses (she has 3) to a competition/stud yard, horse has not done much recently but has good breeding and has had a foal in the past so i expect she will end up as a broodmare somewhere.

Her own horse she will keep, whatever.

The horse i ride Jess i'm not sure what she is going to do with. But i have an idea that she is going to offer her to me. She has told me that she will sell her to the right person...

So what do i do? She wants me to come round to discuss Jess's future on Saturday and i'm worried. I hate uncertainty.

Could i afford/ have the time to look after a horse? Am I up to owning one??? I think i could, at a push. But although Jess is lovely is she what i would choose? I know i couldn't cope on a DIY basis as i am often away with work although i could get a sharer in to help with that...

It's all so confusing

I feel sorry for the owner, it must be a horrible decision to make for three members of the family. I hope i can help some how...

Hmmm it's an idea, i would think with help from a sharer then i would be able to afford and have the time for her.

There are niggles though... i have no transport to take her out anywhere, the yard has a very small sand school which is going to be very difficult through the winter and i have to consider the other horse i ride and pay for.
