Hi Janey, welcome to the forum! I have a colt, born mid June last year, and he was gelded last week. He wasn't showing any coltish behaviour, but I need to get my filly back home so 'they' had to go! I would expect some people will say keep him entire until you need him gelded.

If his testicles have dropped now is a good time, basicly you need to geld after the frosts and before the flies. Now would be a good time, if he drops condition he has the sring grass to look forward to.
