When to get vet back out??

Horse has gone lame for the third time in about 6 weeks. First time, vet was due out next day for vacs, I thought he had an abcess, which had burst, vet agreed, he was politiced and came sound quite quickly, since then he has gone lame for a day or so and then sound again twice, hes lame again this morning. I think theres something more to this, but YO is convinved I should leave it for a day or so rather than getting the vet out straight away, I dont know what to do for the best, im not massively experienced in first aid. opinions please

I would get the vet out asap IMHO, your horse has recurrent unexplained lameness.

yep, get the vet out. You know your horse better than anyone else and 6 weeks is a long time to have unexplained intermittent lameness. It could well be something like an abcess but it might not be...
