When would you stop putting a green ribbon on your horse? I broke my horse in the summer and we've been out on a couple of rides with the hunt and managed to do a few days actual hunting this season. Titan is quite laid back and has been very well behaved on the whole, though obviously he's had a few baby moments.
He hasn't kicked horse or hound or done anything really untoward, is good when standing/moving off, jumps well and the only thing he does wrong is try to go around jumps rather than over them if other horses are in front (he's fine if he has to jump it, eg a hedge, or on his own, he just wants to catch up with the other horses!)
We'll be going out with our regular hunt this Saturday then with a different one (that we haven't been out with) on Boxing day/New Years Day, so I was planning on keeping his green ribbon for a while, especially with the new hunts. My question is, when would you stop putting a green ribbon in the tail? Do you keep it for the whole season or do you judge it by the individual behaviour of the horse? And if the latter at what point?
Cheers.
