Wings is currently at a dealer's to be sold. We advertised him privately over the summer with only one viewing, however once September came and uni was looming, we decided to send him off to a dealer in the hope that they would have a bigger market, and also as there wouldn't be anyone there to look after/ride him.
Skip forward to now, he's still at the dealers and we are no further on. He's had loads of viewings apparently, with loads of people loving him, however the fact he windsucks briefly after feeding is putting people off, despite the fact that it doesn't affect him in anyway. One family liked him, and wanted him, but were looking to trade in a basically unsellable pony for him, and obviously the dealer couldn't accept as they didn't want a pony they couldn't sell!
So basically I'm looking for your suggestions. He's a gorgeous boy, and has been competing over 1.10-1.15m tracks with the dealers, he schools lovely and is pretty much a schoolmaster. So what would you do? At the minute we seem to be forking out loads of money and we seem no closer to selling him. Would there be people willing to loan him, given the fact he windsucks? Or would you bring him home and winter him out in a field, as I suppose that could be a possibility, however then, of course, he'll be out of condition. I could possibly bring him to Nottingham and try and find a loaner here, although that really isn't ideal at all.
Thanks all, sorry i can't give you anything, I'm being a typical student and have no food in the house
