When to tell Stud

I had my mare AI'd in April. She had her 14 day and then 28 day scans and all is well so far. I will be having her scanned again at 49 days but my questions is when do I inform the stud that she's in foal.

I brought my mare hoome from stud before her 16 day scan for personal reasons and i have to admit the stud were keen to find out whether she was in foal.

I would think if you had a good experience with them then it is general politness to let them know as soon as possible.

I guess it would also depend on what terms you are on as well.

I assume that you would have returned her if she wasnt so they wouls be expectign a call shortly to arrange a return visit etc
